The Standard Engine Gets a Name: TurboMax™
The Silverado 1500 is renowned for having a powerful standard engine. The base 2.7-liter turbocharged I-4 engine now has a name: TurboMax™. The TurboMax engine still produces 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, outstanding specs for an I-4 engine.
Diesel Engine Now Available for ZR2 Trim
Do you love off-roading? If so, then the ZR2 trim might be ideal for you. The ZR2 is optimized for adventure, with 33-inch all-terrain tires, skid plates, an off-road suspension, electronic locking front and rear differentials, and a spray-in bedliner. You can now also get a ZR2 with a 3.0-liter turbocharged I-6 diesel engine. This engine produces 305 horsepower and an impressive 495 pound-feet of torque.
Midnight Edition Available for High Country Trim
The High Country is the top Silverado 1500 trim. The High Country boasts an array of luxurious features, including running board side steps, heated seats throughout the cabin, a seven-speaker Bose premium audio system, and a 13.4-inch infotainment touchscreen display. For the new model year, the High Country also offers the available Midnight Edition package. The Midnight Edition includes a black appearance, a raised hood, and high-intensity discharge LED headlamps.
